Celltarga have undertaken several projects during 2020 on the National Physics Laboratory (NPL) campus in Teddington.

The second phase of works to Building 84 was to refurbish some 2000m2 of office and meeting room / lab space over 2 stories. The works were undertaken in two stages where the client team were decanted into a small part of the footprint of the building while refurbishment was undertaken to some 80% of the floor area. The client then moved into the new office space to allow completion to the previously occupied area.

The works were first undertaken to soft strip the building of all elements from furniture and soft fitting to partitions, ceilings and old M&E. Once completed the works to refurbish remaining shell back into 2000m2 of new Cat A office space started.

 

Celltarga were appointed to work with the design team during the soft strip phase to complete the design and pricing of the work and to secure a supply chain who can deliver the high spec fit out of the space.

 

The works included the fit out of the offices with new partitions, glazed meeting rooms, new laboratories, toilets and showers, tea points and kitchens as well as anew reception area and auditorium.
